iPhonAsia believes there is a case to be made for Apple and China Mobile collaborating on a special production run of iPhone 3G. I am calling this TD iPhone 3G as it would include a chipset that supports TD-SCDMA and China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting CMMB – streaming CCTV mobile TV. What might this mean for Apple? A minimum 2 million units.
This is exactly what I have been preaching about. Obviously the Olympics being the highlight is great content. I’m curious what the content will be in say 9 months or a year from now. Doubt it will be Human Rights Protest.
Apple please by all means learn everything you can about deploying this possibility. The rest of the world needs an alternative use too CCTV.
